The REPLACE would be blank, because you just want to delete those. On certain versions of Notepad++, this could be under the View menu instead, under the menu item User Defined Languages. If i were you, I would search for FIND = after the pos. After installation of the Notepad++ program, simply open the Language menu and select Define your language from the drop-down. To use regex: Ctrl-H (Find/Replace) Check Use. Specifically, in the Find/Replae dialog, you will need to enable the SEARCH MODE = Regular Expression to enable the wildcard feature. Word supports find/replace with it own variation of regular expressions (regex), which is called wildcards. There, you will see a whole page on Searching, with a section on Regular Expressions This is documented in the official Notepad++ documentation, which can easily be found through the ? menu in Notepad++, in the entry called Notepad++ Online User Manual. It uses a flavor of regular expression (wildcards) known as “Boost regex”. Notepad++ does not use Word wildcards or VBA wildcards.
